Senior Account Manager
As a Senior Account Manager, Melissa Vellequette maintains quality customer service for existing clients and develops new partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Specifically, she screens and refers qualified candidates to three top 10 pharmaceutical clients, as well as other clients, arranging interviews and communicating feedback to clients and recruiters. Melissa also assists with flexible staffing solutions, such as strategic resource groups, to help with outsourcing in the United States and India through Smith Hanley Consulting Group's parent company, inVentiv Health.
Melissa joined our company in 1998 as a Recruiter and Account Manager. In 1999, she became the Office Administrator and Senior Account Manager and she moved into a Team Leader role in 2002. Her objective is to collaborate closely with clients by maintaining strong, ongoing communication to ensure the right fit for both the client and candidate. She believes in working with open communication on both sides, high integrity, and a mindset of exceptional quality in order to develop and maintain client trust.
Melissa worked in financial services for a global financial services company in a variety of supervisory positions for 11 years before joining us. This experience helped prepare her to communicate effectively with clients and candidates in order to build and maintain strong relationships.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Bowling Green State University. She has been an ongoing member of Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM)
Since 2003, Melissa has been a member of the Smith Hanley / inVentiv Clinical President's Circle, a milestone for account managers and recruiters who achieve a certain level of success.
